Haha! You just gotta love it when a plan comes together---NOT! This video is showing what Andy Reid looks like when he screws the pooch and gets called on it. It is HILARIOUS! Reid didn't like getting questioned on his recent move to put Eric Fisher (remember him? THE guy that REID drafted number one to play left tackle?) at Right Tackle. Fisher was chosen by Andy Reid (oh sorry, that's right, Jon Dorsey RUNS the Chiefs personnel---what a damn joke that is) as the OVERALL number ONE pick in the 2013 Draft. Can you say "swing and a miss"? Well anybody who isn't a Chief certainly has no problem with it.
Here's a little info on the man that Reid WASTED the first pick in the 2013 Draft on.
Despite playing at left tackle during college, Fisher transitioned to right tackle the 2013 season. He allowed 7 sacks and 35 hurries. According to analysis by Pro Football Focus, his run-blocking grade of -6.5 ranked 55th out of 76 NFL tackles who played at least 25 percent of their team's snaps. His overall grade as a tackle ranked 70th. Despite Fisher's struggles during his rookie season, Chiefs general manager John Dorsey noted Fisher's potential and expressed confidence that he will develop into a good player.
Pro Football Focus doesn't wear Chiefs colored glasses. I want ALL you Chiefs fans to REMEMBER this little video when the medics are scraping up whats left of Alex Smith off the Field Turf. He is going to get his ass handed to him this year and it is clearly ANDY REID'S fault because our offensive line is, well, offensive.
Donald Stephenson was drafted in 2012 by Pioli for God's sake, when ROMEO was showing Chiefs fans across the fruited plain that he should never be a Head Coach in the NFL. Stephenson was drafted in the third round of the draft at NO. 74 overall and he beats out the overall number one drafted Tackle from a year later? Will anybody begin to realize that REID doesn't know what the hell he is doing with personnel? Before anybody starts with the Jon Dorsey is the GM bullshit, let's just drop that farce right now, ok? REID is the man in KC and all of it is hung around his neck just as sure as God made them little green apples.
The worst part about Fisher? It's how much money he's stealing from the Chiefs. From Bill Williamson at ESPN:
On July 26, 2013, Fisher signed a fully guaranteed contract with the Chiefs worth $22.1 million with a $14.5 million signing bonus.
Thanks Andy. Crap like this is EXACTLY what will throw this team into the dumper for YEARS after you depart with all the BBQ ribs that KC can make in one weekend. Oh, the gravity of it all.
Really, if you want to know what's even worse, it's the Alex Smith trade. We lost TWO picks and paid Alex a shit ton of money for a competent NFL grade QB, and instead you get a season from a QB that couldn't even score ONE PASSING TD to a WR! What did the Chiefs get out of the transaction? The honor of putting the Chiefs name beside an NFL record that NO self respecting team wants and the pleasure of saying we now have TWO number one draft picks that have gone bust. THANKS ANDY!!!!!
Just get ready and get some real cheap booze for this season because you are going to need A LOT of it to survive. In case you missed it, I already suggested that here. I am almost afraid to watch what happens on Sunday.
Just remember Chiefs fans, when the temerity of this video becomes obvious to the most home boi-ish of all Chiefs fans, it is time to shove REID and this mess he is making right out the door.
