LOL! Well, Todd and the Pittsburgh Steelers made the playoffs yesterday by handing the Chiefs their seventh loss of the season. I suppose thats sort of appropriate considering how Succop's missed FG was what kept the Steelers out of the playoffs last season don't you think? No? Aww...Let's try not to have any hard feelings about this now ok? I mean, give them their due.
Welcome To My Blog
If you are into talking about the Kansas City Chiefs, this is the place to be. I am Aiken_Drum and I am a Chiefaholic. If you are too, great! Let's discuss this team that we inexplicably love to follow. Don't be afraid to be critical here. Positive or negative, they are all thoughts about the Chiefs. Also, do not tell ANYBODY here that they shouldn't respond in a certain way. You don't like what they said? Just stop commenting. Be the bigger commentor.

The Chiefs Are "Back On Track"?
Really? Because you handed a terrible football team their eleventh straight road loss? Because you still can't score a TD with a pass to a WR after 15 weeks of the season? Because your "coach" is spewing psycho babble about his players "letting their personalities show" because he couldn't otherwise explain the win without giving the Raiders props for mistakes?

A Musical Tribute To Yesterdays Kansas City Chiefs Game
Hey Hey, My My. It's Andy Reid we need to fry.
Of all the stooooopid, coaches to try
Hey Hey, My My.
Thanks Neil. Couldn't have said it better.
Well folks I gotta tell ya, it hurts to be as right as I have been about Reid. The guy just keeps on packing in those ignorant losses with just the right amount of salt. Enough to bring tears to your eyes but not enough to make you scream.

What???? Another loss???? Holy Walrus Feathers Batman!!!!!
Yes, Robin, the Chiefs have fallen victim to a horrible villain. The WALRUS. It appears as though he has been running the team since last season and, as we speak chum, he is strengthening his evil hold on Clark Hunt and the Chiefs fans with his persuasive speech pattern.
Here is a recent picture of the fiend:
Here's an example of that persuasive speech I was telling you about Boy Wonder:
Oh, those poor fans! We have to do something!! Quickly Robin! To the batmobile!!!!!

Calling All Oysters!
Ah literature! The proof that there truly is nothing new under the sun. This, my friends, is why studying history is so important. Literature quite often contains lessons of the past, put forth for those who are wise enough to read and learn! I know that most Chiefs fans will point their noses at the sky at this one, but the symbolism is so pure here that it simply cannot be ignored. Read on kiddies and be amazed.

It Couldn't Get Worse...Right?
Unfortunate. Ill-fated. Ill-starred. Luckless. Unlucky.
All the above are synonyms for the word Hapless. The Chiefs are a hapless team. No matter how you slice it, no matter what excuse you choose to use (and OH, the excuse machines are running overtime today!!), and no matter what perspective you wish to observe from, this is a Hapless team.
In fact, you could even say that Joe Montana was unable to overcome this haplessness. He got injured on what would have been his final Super Bowl run while wearing a Chiefs jersey. For Joe, that was a bit out of the ordinary. Just another nail in the hapless coffin that surrounds the Kansas City Chiefs.

I Told You So Isn't Strong Enough
Well, well, well. We finally got to see Mr. Andy Reid show his ass on the sidelines. How does it feel Chiefs fans? Still want to offer to carry his water? I'll be writing more in the coming days, but I felt it necessary to remind one and all that this was exactly my fear all season. We've started down the path of another 3-5 years of heart wrenching losses because of Andy Reid and Alex Smith.
They need to go and they need to go NOW! No excuses, no exceptions. It's time to move on.
